How Tyler got started
Owner Tyler Brennan grew up in Broad Ripple Village just north of the canal and spent most of his twenties running crews for a regional household-goods operation across the Circle City. He had watched the same pattern in every move his friends and family booked through Indy moving season: a phone quote that climbed at the curb, day-labor crews lined up that morning, and a shipment that quietly switched trucks at some warehouse on the south side.
Tyler founded Back To Back Moving in 2013 to do the opposite. From the first truck he picked up used off Keystone Avenue, the rule was straightforward: a flat written price honored to the dollar, only movers on payroll, and two crews working back to back through the busy season so the office never sells a date it cannot staff.
Why “Back To Back”
The name is literal. Tyler runs the schedule as paired crews — one chief loading a Carmel two-story while the other finishes a Broad Ripple bungalow, then both trucks rolling back to back through the next day’s slots. It is how a five-bedroom Geist load and a one-bedroom downtown condo both get done on the same Saturday without anyone waiting for a stranger.
