Renting the truck yourself but don’t want to carry the couch up from the finished basement? Back To Back Moving sends trained crews to load or unload your rental, POD, or U-Box — muscle and technique without paying for a truck you already have.
What labor-only covers
You handle the rental and the driving; we handle the heavy lifting. It is the same W-2 crew that runs our full jobs, just for the load or the unload — backed by the same Indiana URC household-goods authority on file.
- Loading a rented truck, trailer, POD, or U-Box at your home
- Unloading the same on the other end and placing items by room
- Tight, weight-balanced stacking for a long-distance haul down I-65 or up I-69
- Furniture disassembly and reassembly — beds, tables, shelving
- Heavy single items: appliances, a sofa, a treadmill, basement gym gear — for a piano or safe, see our specialty crew
- Rearranging or staging within a home you are not leaving
No hidden add-ons
Hourly labor at $115 for two movers and $155 for three, pads and dollies in hand. No fuel surcharge, no stair fee, no “heavy item” upcharge sprung at the door — the rate you are quoted is the rate you pay.
How hourly labor works
- Pick your crew size. Two movers for a walk-up or POD, three for a full house or a tight window — tell us on your free quote request.
- Have the rental ready. Truck or container on site; we bring pads, straps, and dollies.
- We load smart. Heavy and square on the bottom, weight balanced, everything strapped for the highway.
- Clock the hours. You pay for time worked — just the standard two-hour minimum, no padded surprises.

What It Costs Around Indy
A two-mover team runs $115/hr with a two-hour minimum; a three-mover team is $155/hr, and bigger Indy jobs are pinned down as one flat written figure before our truck rolls off Keystone Avenue.
Two of our own W-2 movers, a padded box truck, four-wheelers, shrink wrap and quilted blankets — the entire Indianapolis job folded into a single Back To Back Moving rate, with no handoff to a third-party van line at any point in the day.
